This is Mike Herzing from Let’s Talk Wheels with an automotive tip brought to you by the great folks at Jeep.
I borrowed my Wife’s truck the other night and naturally, it was raining.
I quickly noticed that her wiper blades were pretty useless.
Wiper blades are one of those things that you forget until you need them.
If you haven’t replaced your wiper blades in the last year, make a note to pick up a set at the discount store the next time you go.
Until then, go out to your car with a paper towel and some alcohol or glass cleaner, raise the wiper, wet the paper towel with the cleaner and run it along the edge of the wiper.
This removes the road grime that has gathered there. It is going to be really nasty.
This should help the wipers work better until you can replace them.
I do this every month or two.
While you are at the store, get some of the good washer fluid which helps the wipers cut the grease. You will thank yourself the next rainy night.
Hope this helps!
