Janice, If it were me, I’d change the differential fluid every 2 years or 30k miles, It’s not expensive, and it’s a great insurance policy against spending $1800 for repairs. Also, since there was water in the fluid, you had better have the transmission fluid and wheel bearings checked while you are there.
